Mamoru Oshii quer fazer mais um filme de Ghost in the Shell

Em um evento comemorando os 20 anos do lançamento de Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, o diretor Mamoru Oshii fez algumas revelações interessantes: Primeiramente, ele disse que o terceiro filme quase aconteceu, mas o projeto acabou não seguindo em frente.

E a segunda revelação é que ele gostaria de fazer o terceiro filme, desde que tivesse a chance de amarrar algumas pontas soltas. Vale lembrar que o primeiro filme foi lançado em 1995 e acabou se tornando uma grande influência para várias obras. Em 2004, ele fez mais um filme com Ghost of the Shell 2: Innocence. Agora, resta saber se ele realmente conseguirá fazer o terceiro longa.

Originalmente criado por Masamune Shirow como um mangá, a história cyberpunk de Ghost in the Shell segue a Major Motoko Kusanagi, líder da Seção 9, uma força-tarefa que combate crimes tecnológicos e ciberterrorismo em nome da Comissão Nacional Japonesa de Segurança Pública, em um futuro cyberpunk onde quase todos os seres humanos tem uma certa quantidade de implantes cibernéticos. O próprio corpo de Kusanaki é inteiramente artificial.
